Whow, didn't expect that much people at all. KultuurKaffee was really packed. Thought it was a great party and already thinking about doing another one in a month or so. But then with less or no D&B. I mean, D&B is great and all, but not all night long. I'm glad so many DJ's showed up that wanted to play, but next time it would be nice to have a better blend of styles. Going to make a little form for people who want to put on some music to register up front. That way it's possible to start with some easier, more chill stuff and work up to the heavier shit. Anyway, big thanks to anyone who came and especially to the DJ's. And also a big shout to the people who helped keep an eye on things and helped with the cleaning up afterwards! Much love and respect to all of you!
Like I said: next time better blend of styles, because it was D&B for most of the evening this time. Really loved playing Billy Jean (original 7" version ;)) to a crowd of D&B kids. Not everyone shared that feeling apparently, since I got boo'ed, really loved that Fuck genre fascists! Someone even made the effort to start a discussion about it on the Boups forum. Love that!
If you've got pictures of the party on flickr, tag them with "weekendstartshere.tk" and "WSH1", so people can find them. I'll try to put them on weekendstartshere.tk also. My pix of the party on flickr.
