Just bought myself a new toy: Torq Conectiv. I've been looking for a decent sound card for my MP3 DJ'ing for a while. Up untill now I've been using Traktor 2 and I managed to lend an M-Audio Fast Track Pro for playing sets. But I wanted to get into control vinyl and I needed my own sound card, so now I have one. I'm looking forward to combining vinyl and MP3's and I think this is the way to go for me. Still keeping the feel of vinyl, but having the extra possibilities software can give. I'll still be playing analog vinyl though, that's still a big live of mine, but now I can slip in some stuff I don't have on vinyl and also use some FX in my mixen, on both my vinyl records and my MP3's.
Taking Back Mondays will be the first test of this new setup for an audiance, so I've got a week of practice ahead of me. Looking forward to it!
