If all things go well, I'll be celebrating my 30th birthday at KultuurKaffee on Friday October 24th.
As a present to myself I'll be behind the decks for a DJ set, only paying the music I like. Moehahaha!!!
Expect a wildstyle mix of new beat, rave, ragga, jungle, electro, breaks.
And some of my best friends will be DJ'ing also; like Muck and Dirty Digital.
This is gonna be one hell of a party.

It's been a while, but here's a new gig for me: tonight 2 till 4 at the Opinio Outdoor Party.
It's an open air party in the middle of the VUB campus.
I'll be playing a bit more commercial, housey then usual, but expect party music for the full two hours.
Style will probably be close to The sweet smell of summer mixtape that has been playing a lot at Opinio the last months. Summery party music, not to difficult, but not to cheap either.

I haven't been up to much lately musically, but that's going to change. Just bought a bunch of records (ragga-jungle-core mostly, a lot of Death$ucker stuff) on line. And since my laptop is back in working order i think I'll try to improve my digital DJ skills a bit. There some video tutorials on the Torq DJ website i think I'll check out. And also trying to incorporate Ableton Live into my setup to get more into remix/mashup.

Wasn't that good of a set I thought, but got the people dancing anyway, so mission accomplished I guess. ;)

Just bought myself a new toy: Torq Conectiv. I've been looking for a decent sound card for my MP3 DJ'ing for a while. Up untill now I've been using Traktor 2 and I managed to lend an M-Audio Fast Track Pro for playing sets. But I wanted to get into control vinyl and I needed my own sound card, so now I have one. I'm looking forward to combining vinyl and MP3's and I think this is the way to go for me. Still keeping the feel of vinyl, but having the extra possibilities software can give.

Whow, didn't expect that much people at all. KultuurKaffee was really packed. Thought it was a great party and already thinking about doing another one in a month or so. But then with less or no D&B. I mean, D&B is great and all, but not all night long.
